Happy Monday!

It’s no secret that I LOVE hair, after all I blog a lot about it. Today I’m braving it and opening up about hair that I don’t like….the little fuzzy ones that I get on my chin and upper lip! The kind that people will notice if they get close enough to you. Ughhh! If you’re blessed to not have that issue, good for you. 🙂

Unfortunately, I get the fuzzies and I’m sure I’m not alone. I noticed they started becoming more prevalent once I hit my thirties and since shaving is definitely not an option, I decided to look for alternative ways to deal with the ‘…..stache. (Trying to pluck those tiny little hairs is PAINFUL!)

I ventured into Target late last year trying find something to deal with the issue. I’m not a fan of depilatory creams, especially for my face, so those were out of the question. I actually wanted to try Shea Moisture’s Honey Wax but after reading quite a few reviews I decided against it. Instead I picked up these Nad’s Facial Wax Strips.

The strips are pretty easy to use. You’re instructed rub the strip (two strips are stuck together) between your palms to warm it up and then apply to the area where hair removal is needed. It’s basically “peel, stick and PULL..really fast”.

Does it hurt? Yes, but no more than getting your eyebrows waxed hurts. The kit comes with a few calming wipes which I don’t use. I usually apply some Coconut oil to the area and then wipe it off with Witch Hazel.

So, does it work? Yes it does, just not for “weeks” as the packaging claims. After all, it’s hair, it just keeps growing and growing. I think I’m able to be fuzz free for about a week and a half to 2 weeks before I feel the need to smooth things out again 🙂 I only use it on my upper lip and chin and it works well enough for me.

The ingredients are “ok”. I looked up the Triethylene glycol rosinate on the Cosmetics Database site and it has a score of zero, or should I say “no data is available”. As mentioned, I don’t used the Calming Wipes.

I may eventually try the Shea Moisture honey wax, but I’m loving the convenience of these wax strips. I paid about $7-$8 for a box of 24 strips, and I use 2 strips every session.

Do you experience the “fuzzies”? How do you deal with them. Please feel free to share in the comments.

Until next time
