This post is sponsored by Weight Watchers® Ice Cream. I received product samples & I was compensated to share my summer inspirations, but all opinions are my own.

I’m not going to lie, these past few weeks I have felt like I have been running on fumes. Between traveling, life, clients and running my business, I have been on the go a lot. It is no secret that I am #teamselfcare, and I have been taking care of myself, but this summer I plan to take things up a notch which includes some traveling (destination currently unknown 🙂 ). Even if you can’t take a vacation, don’t worry, I have partnered with Weight Watchers® Ice Cream to share three (3) easy and free* things you can do to take care of yourself this summer.

1) Outdoor Picnics

I especially love picnics by the lake. The lake is one of my husband & I favorite spots. Since it will be much hotter outside, sunset (or at least later in the day) picnics are a great way to get away from it all and just relax.

It’s so easy to pack up your blanket and some summer essentials (sunglasses, sunscreen & repellent etc) and get away for the day or even the weekend. If you can turn it into a mini staycation, that’s even better.

Of course you can’t forget to pack your cooler with necessities like water, snacks and ice cream. Summer is not complete without ice cream. It just isn’t. 🙂

Weight Watchers® Ice Cream bars are a great choice because they are snack size and better for you, and they taste great. As a “professional snacker”, it definitely meets my approval.

My personal favorites are the Dark Chocolate Mint Ice Cream Bars and the Dark Chocolate Raspberry Ice Cream Bars, both of which are made with low fat ice cream dipped in a dark chocolate flavored coating.
If you’re in Dallas you can find them all the varieties at your local Walmart.

2) READ

If you’re like me, you probably own a ton of books. I love to read and I do try to read at least one book a month, but the truth is that does not always happen. My “summer reading list” will be a combination of business mixed with light reading. Whether you decide to do your reading poolside or you just find a quiet spot and curl up by the window, reading is a great way to relax, get away from the noise and take care of yourself.

3) YOGA/ EXERCISE

After taking my first (power) yoga class a few years ago I fell in love. I was consistent for a while and then I fell off the wagon. A few weeks ago I started again and I remember why I loved it so much. During the summer especially, most cities have free yoga sessions at local parks. While I do go to a class, there are free yoga sessions on Saturday mornings here in Dallas at Klyde Warren Park.
