Natural Skin Care Products

Last year I shared my skin care routine/product line up and I mentioned that I was thinking of incorporating more “natural” skin care products into my routine. Well the search is on 🙂

I may continue to incorporate some of them items I currently use, but I feel like I need to switch things up a bit.

Also, although I am a DIYer, I have also committed to incorporating at minimum 3 professional skincare visits this year. I’m currently in search of a great Esthetician in the Dallas area. If you know of one, I’m all ears.

I am also fully aware that diet, exercise, water intake and many other factors play a part in your skin’s appearance. I think I do pretty well in those areas. Well…I can always get more exercise 😉 I even highlighted some of my favorite beauty ingredients from the Kitchen in this post.

I take great care of my hair and I want to take even great(er) care of my skin. After all I’m not getting any younger. I’ll be 36 this year!  Don’t ask me when that happened, but it did.

I’ve been doing some research and here are a few of the lines that have caught my eye.

1) Juice Beauty – An organic, eco friendly skincare line. I love how the fact that they incorporate fruit extracts and juices in their products.

2) Shea Moisture – I’m a huge fan of their hair products and I have tried their Black Soap Skincare line. The Masque from that line is still one of my favorites. I’m considering the Raw Shea Facial Renewal System.

3) Derma E – I found this line via Social Media. After looking them up I was pleased to learn that they are also and Eco-friendly natural skin care line.

I have researched quite a few lines but these are the ones that are on my radar.

YOUR TURN: What’s your skin care line of choice? Know any great natural skincare lines I should look into? Leave a comment and let me know.

Until next time

I suffer with adult acne and some products were too harsh for my skin. I’ll have to give Derma E a closer look to see if their products could help.

My skincare of choice does come from the store. I love when I find DIY recipes. Surprises that cardamon and tumeric are so used for skincare

Enfuselle all the way! I’m a total addict lol, but I have extremely sensitive skin on top of a determination to keep as many toxins away as possible, so they were a win/win for me 🙂

Currently I just use standard bar soap but I am going to look into something better. I have extra sensitive skin so I have to be careful.

I love Shea Moisture especially the black soap. It smells heavenly and I just can’t do without it. I’ll have to check out the other brands.

I’ve used Juice Beauty before and it is amazing. Somehow I lost all of mine when moving from Korea to the US and have never gone back to repurchase because I forgot the name. ha ha

I don’t use natural skin care products, but I probably should. The Juice Beauty products look great (and they have cute packaging, too)! I hear ya on “How did that happen?” I’ll be 33 next month.

Thank you for this post Vashti! I’ve never heard of Juice Beauty or Derma so I’ll have to look them up. Currently, I use an all-natural (and every one of them smells scrumptious) soap line (intelligistanaturalista.com). I also use Sistah Buttah as a makeup remover and body/hair butter (http://sistahstore.bigcartel.com)
