If you’ve been a subscriber of my blog for a while, you’ve probably noticed that I’ve never done a post about a braid out. As a matter of fact, this is probably the second or maybe third time I’ve even attempted one. The reason: I never really liked the way they turn out 🙂
Braids (or plaits as we call them in Grenada) are an excellent way of stretching your hair. I usually stretch my hair this way, but I decided to do about 12 huge braids instead, with the intention of removing them and doing some other style. Well that never happened…..instead I ended up with this accidental braid out. It’s by no means the best braid out, but it’s pretty good for being unintentional.
My hair held up pretty well and was very soft even after spending a considerable amount of time in the scorching sun. I used the Basil Lemongrass Conditioning Creme by It’s Perfectly Natural (Review coming soon).
So what am I going to do tonight? Yep, you guessed it, I’m going to re-braid and try to perfect my braid out technique. Operation Perfect Braid Out is in full effect.
Have you tried braid outs? What’s your technique?
Until next time

Thanks ThePomadeShop, they do take a long time to unravel, but twisting the ends helps a little with that 🙂

Your accidental braid out looks great. I don’t do them anymore because they take too long for me to unravel.

No, cause my hair is too short and I refuse to spend all that time braiding it only to take it back down lol, I did have an accidental cornrow out though..
