Coko Butta is a small Etsy shop that hand makes hair, bath and body treats. Treat is the best word I can use to describe this brown sugar body scrub. From the time I picked up the package in my mailbox to the time I used it for the first time, it was a real TREAT. This scrub smells like Sweet Potato pie and so did my entire mailbox. It’s quite possibly the best smelling package I’ve ever received 🙂
One of the things I loved about Coko Butta’s presentation was all the little special details. The box came wrapped in pretty paper with lots of embellishments and stickers on the outside. It was right up my alley….girly and pretty. I also received a super cute card shaped like a cupcake. The scrub itself was well wrapped and secured with lots of tape around the top.
The scrub is made with Brown Sugar which is known to help provide relief from Eczema as well as improve the skin’s ability to retain moisture. It is enriched with Sweet Almond oil, Olive oil and Vitamin E, all “yummy for you skin” ingredients. I’ve been using this Scrub for over 6 weeks and I can honestly say that it does exactly what it promises to do, exfoliate and hydrate the skin.
I use mainly at night after showering to exfoliate and soften my skin, after which I step out of the shower and hit the sack, with no need for a lotion. When I wake up, my skin is still soft and supple. I’ve also used it to exfoliate my face and it also does an awesome job without causing breakouts or any other ill effects.
Can we just talk for a second about how pretty this jar is? I love it’s shape and I already have plans to use it for one of my Pinterest inspired projects. I did contact Coko Butta’s owner to suggest that she use a different cover (one with a screw top) for her jars, since the top on the jar I received was not as snug and could cause the scrub to spill easily. Since then, she has switched to an equally pretty jar with a snug, screw top.
