This past Saturday, I attended Fro Fest hosted by Nappiology and sponsored by Miss Jessie’s. It was so much FUN! I had a really great time just hanging out with my local curlfriends and meeting lots of new people. I was super excited to meet Julian of Bella Kinks whose website is set to launch this upcoming weekend. She has a very sweet and inviting personality and she was kind enough to let me chat her ear off. ☺

The event was well organized and well attended. There were many vendors featuring everything from hair and beauty products to t-shirts/clothing, jewelry and home decor/scripture stones. I did pick up one or two goodies and a t-shirt, nothing major. Of course, there was a Fro contest and my curlfriend Devon (pictured below) emerged the winner.

As mentioned, Miss Jessie’s was the title sponsor and Miko and Titi Branch (owners) were on hand to host a presentation/Q&A session on their company and it’s evolution over the years, as well as do some “meeting and greeting” with the attendees. Of course, they also sponsored swag bags and announced the introduction of their new product called “Pillow Curls” which is set to hit stores in July.

Since Saturday was also Juneteenth Celebrations, a few of us hit about another event hosted at Pan African Connection here in Dallas. It was scorching hot, but we were prepared and had an awesome time.
Overall, the weekend was super fun. I even stopped to take a pic with the Snapple guy! Hey, who could pass up a free six pack of Snapple? Not me/us, especially since it was soooo HOT! ☺
