So my Crochet braids are finally out! I’m very proud of myself for exercising self control and leaving them in for 3 weeks as I had planned. I did have little urges to remove them before the 21 day mark, but the fact that they were very light and my scalp didn’t itch AT ALL made it easier to go the distance. ☺

I gave my hair as pampering session as I always do before and after a protective style. After pre-pooing overnight with Coconut Oil, I started out by using my Bentonite Clay shampoo bar from Bobeam Natural Hair products. Next I  used the Brahmi Root Hair Masque by L.A.C.E products (Ladies Always Create Excitement), followed up by a deep conditioning session with Bee Mine’s BEE-U-TIFUL Deep conditioner. Ahhhhhh…..my hair exhaled lol

Prior to twisting, I moisturized and sealed and allowed my hair to dry in some Bantu Knots.  This allowed my hair to be mostly stretched, which was great but this method usually give me the best stretch in one session.

Once my hair was fully dried I began twisting.  I decided to use Darcy’s Botanicals Curl Styling cream paired with L.A.C.E Apricot Mango Loc and Twist Pomade (I concentrated the pomade mostly on my ends). After 5.5 to 6 hours of finger work, I was DONE because I tried not to make them too mini. I’m HOPING to keep these in for at least two weeks, maybe three. We’ll see…..lol

Until next time

Your hair’s lovely and thick. Thanks for sharing. I wear mini- twists for most of the time, and I can attest to their versatility, so if any one’s thinking of trying them out, do have a go ( just for the experience, and to see if they are suitable for you( i.e if they don’t tangle. mesh or loc, etc) They take about 5 hours for me to do ( I re-twist them after washing,; easier to twist) and they last for a month. I can wash/rinse/condition them in between. They are just fine and versatile for me . It’ s taken trial and error to find out what works and what doesn’t for me. Thanks again, for sharing

Thank you so much. Yes they are worth the time because the styling options are endless. If I do mine super micro they take me about 10 too ☺

Gosh, your twists look great. Really great!! I’ve been toying with the idea of twists for a little while now. My mini twists take about 10 hours to install but they are worth every minute of it. I just have to find the time to do it . . . soon.

Hey sis, I upgraded to the new Disquis format so that could be the reason. Some of my comments are not syncing immediately.

Thanks so much. I do wash them…well more like rinse them and cowash, but I don’t really have a problem with them getting tangled. Have you tried washing them while wearing a stocking cap, like Naptural85 does? That may help and I need to try that method too so it doesn’t get too frizzy ☺

I left a comment but it’s not showing. I love your twists and you inspire me to try them again. I was actually going to get some extensions(fluffy twists) but my husband discouraged me about the fake hair thing. The problem is when I wash my mini twists,my hair gets tangled. Do you wash yours? I may just get some small braids (with my own hair), those I can wash as much as I can. I have been playing too much in my hair and need to put it away. You have some gorgeous hair sisi:)
