2014 was a year of transition for me. In May, I rebranded my old blog and moved over to VeePeeJay.com after almost 3 years of blogging.
This post is a reflection of my favorites of 2014, which were all written after my rebranding 🙂 Sometimes you need to refresh and restart 🙂
1) UNPLUGGING FROM SOCIAL MEDIA
This post was one that I hesitated to write. It stayed in my draft folder for weeks, but I finally polished it up and pushed “publish” . I was really pleasantly surprised by the response. It was one of the more personal posts I’ve written on the blog. I definitely plan to do more in 2015.

This post took me an entire day (with lots of breaks) to complete. There was just so much I wanted to share from my time at Blogalicious 2014. Attending a blogging conference was on my list of things to do in 2014 and by Faith (and Action) I made it! 🙂

3)SHOWING OFF MY PERSONAL STYLE IN NOMOSE COUTURE
This post was one of my favorites because it was another step outside the box for me. I’m no fashion blogger, but being able to showcase my style while supporting a Small Business (N’omose Couture) was well worth it 🙂 I had a great time shooting with I’sha of HoneyBeNatural Magazine to bring this post to life. Stay tuned for more small business features in 2015.

4) WINNING A BLACK WEBLOG AWARD
Being nominated for, and winning a Black Web Award was definitely one of the highlights of 2014. When I started blogging and sharing my tutorials, awards were the furthest thing from my mind. Being recognized for something you love doing is definitely a blessing.

5) SHARING MY LOVE FOR GIVING BACK
This year I shared a lot about my love for giving back to others. I didn’t hesitate when I had the opportunity to share about the Heart of Haiti line from Macys.

This year my husband & I were able to take an extended vacation to visit home (Grenada). This was definitely one of the highlights of my year. I also loved sharing all my adventures and a little of my homeland with you on the blog. Missed it?

7) CELEBRATING FRIENDSHIP
This was another one of my personal posts. I loved celebrating my friendship and giving EXTRA thanks to my friend Julian.

8) TRYING SOMETHING NEW WITH MY HAIR – CONAIR CURL SECRET
This was definitely one of my favorite hair posts of 2014. I share a lot about my styles here on the blog, but this one was my favorite because it was something outside of the norm. I loved the results I was able to achieve using the Conair Curl Secret.
