Sometimes you just have to get away. For the past few days, my husband & I have been in Grenada spending time with our families. For those of you who may not know, we were both born and raised there, and It feels so great to be home. There’s honestly nothing like it 🙂
In this post, I’ll be sharing a few shapshots of what we’ve been up to so far.Â
It’s been almost 4 years since we’ve been home so a lot has changed. Â We’ve been doing a lot of “sightseeing”, visiting friends and family, and just soaking up all the island life we can.
FOOD
Papaya is one of my all time favorite fruits. There’s just something special about the ones here at home.
“Roast corn” is another one of my favorite things. To say I’ve eaten one every day is an understatement. Guinep or “skin up” is also one of my childhood faves.
Fresh local juices from Port Louis Marina – Victory Bar. Cherry for me and Mango/ Passion Fruit for him. One word….delicious!
My mom made sure we had Oil Down (Grenada’s National Dish) two days after we got here. I got so excited about eating it that I forgot to takes pics 🙂
PLACES
Off course we have been getting in a lot of beach time. This pic is from the world famous Grand Anse Beach.
One of views from my house.
Ginger Lilies we snapped on our visit to Annadale Waterfall.
PEOPLE
Family <3. Pic of myself with my youngest sister and my Mom. My middle sister is missing from the pic 🙂
I’ve been doing quite a bit of vlogging to share pieces of Grenada with you. Stay tuned 🙂
