When it comes to makeup, I generally gravitate to the neutral/minimalistic looks. If I’m going out or trying to be extra *fancy* then I may do a bit more. My favorite beauty products of 2014, and the ones I will probably still reach for this year, reflect this.
In bun post from last week, I got a lot of comments about my makeup. This was an example when I went for “fancy”, after all it was New Year’s Eve π . I’m by no means a makeup pro, but with the help of YoutubeΒ I can do a few things π
1) Kiss Aqua BB Cream – My go to face makeup. I discovered this product around February of 2014 I have not worn anything else all year. Except the one occasion I got my makeup professionally done. As I mentioned HERE I still have skin issues, but the Kiss Aqua BB Cream does a great job of evening things out while still making me look…well like me. π
2) Wet n Wild Balm Stains – I’m tardy to the party on this one. I first got this as a goody in one of my Blogalicious swagbags and I was hooked. It’s very moisturizing and adds a touch of color to your lips. I have since purchased three more colors.
3) Dickinsons Witch Hazel Toner – I sang the praises of this in my skincare post so I won’t go into detail again, but I love it.

4) L.A Girl Pro Concealer – YouTube made me do it π I found this gem from watching Youtube videos. It was compared to another high end concealer but for a fraction of the price. These are amazing and work well at concealing my lack of sleep/dark spots. They are generally less than $5.
5) Real Techniques Expert Face Brush – Favorite brush for applying/blending my Kiss Aqua BB Cream
6) EOS Lip Balms – Moisturizing and all around great.
7) Iman Sheer Finish Bronzing Powder in After Glow – I first tried this as part of a prize package I won from Iman Cosmetics. I love that it can be used all year round. It was in heavy rotation during my vacation last year. You probably can’t see the *glow* because I was tanned by the sun, but it’s there π
8) Elf Bronzing Powder (Sun Kissed) – Another awesome highlighter! This powder is only $1 but it works amazingly well. When I want to add an extra glow, this is my go to.
9) Exuviance Vitamin C powder – I love this stuff! Β Check out my thorough review HERE.
BONUS: Since we’re reflecting, here my take on the “About A Year Ago” sharing some of my memories from 2014. I mention 5 of these items as my Top Beauty Products.

You look amazing! I want to try this L.A. Girl Concealer that I’ve heard so much about. Also, I’m a lipgloss fanatic, but haven’t tried the EOS lip balm yet….but I’m going to soon!
You look radiant in those pictures! My favorite beauty product for this month is Urban Decay All Nighter Finishing Spray. I spritz it on once I have my makeup done and it sets it all beautifully. I’ll have to check out the Wet and Wild.
Thanks Alli π
I love the Real Techniques brushes and the EOS balms! I am suprised at the Wet and Wild Products, I’ll have to check those out!
Yes! They’re great.
Wow what an amazing list you have! I really love EOS, Real Techniques products and that Wet N Wild Balm Stain! My faves too!
I can’t believe I haven’t heard of that bb cream before – i love bb creams!
BB Cream is one of my favorite, but I never wear it! Such a shame. I’m far too lazy and usually just do mascara, lip gloss, and an all over powder.
I LOVE your simplicity! Thanks for sharing your favorites, I am always on the hunt for new products to try.
Thank you!
I love how simple your makeup is, i too aim for the same but occasionally i try and do a bit more but not too often, i think for me its my lipsticks.
Thanks Mia π
anytime
I haven’t had the chance to try out any of these products yet but I’ve heard great things about the Real Techniques brushes. Your makeup looks great!
Thanks Fi Ni, they’re great brushes.
Your makeup really does look great! I really only wear mascara, eye liner, and foundation- so I don’t have that much of a beauty routine at all!
I’m kinda like that as well. I only get fancy on the weekends..sometimes. Thanks Samantha
I would love to check out that vitamin c powder. I am also interested in the wet & wild product. I used to use that brand back in the day!
It’s great stuff Robin π
