Living in the city can take a huge toll on your skin. This past weekend the Simple Skin Care + PopSugar #KindtoCitySkin tour stopped in Dallas to share tips and information about the effects of city living, and how to keep your skin in tip top shape from the inside out.
The Pegasus Plaza downtown was transformed into a beautiful “destination” and each guest was given a Passport to Healthy Skin. My first stop was at the “Healthy Eats” station where I sampled this delicious “good for your skin”, Strawberry Banana Creams made with greek yogurt. This is an easy healthy treat that I will be duplicating.
Next stop was the Detox Tea Garden where I sampled some “UnSweet Tea” while chatting with new friends 🙂
At the Fitness Zone attendees completed a one-minute yoga workout to help get your heart pumping. This is important in overall health and consequently great skin. At the end of the workout, I received a 2 week pass for Unlimited Yoga classes at a local SunStoneFit center. I was so stoked about this because I had planned to resume my Yoga classes. This was just in time!
The relaxation zone offered free massages and “writing therapy” as stress relief. Guests were asked to write down one thing that makes them stressed and to ‘let it go” by clipping it on the stress board.
I also had the opportunity to do a simulation exercise showing what my skin would look like after living in Dallas for the next 7 years (if I didn’t take proper care of it). Yikes! The results weren’t horrible but it makes me want to do all I can to take even better care of my skin.
Once I received all the stamps in my “Passport to Healthy Skin”, I got to take home some awesome goodies from Simple Skin Care, as well as the PopSugar Must Haves May Box. I think I’m most excited about this ZingAnything Cirtus Zinger bottle that allows you to have infused water on the go. This will be perfect for my Yoga classes 🙂
