If you’ve watched your share of Natural Hair related Youtube videos, you must have seen all the raves about Trader Joes conditioners. Not only are they inexpensive, but they work great too…according to the reviews/raves. Well Trader Joes finally made it to the North Dallas area, and I was uber excited to go see what the fanfare was about.
In case you’re wondering, Trader Joes is a specialty grocery store that sells lots of yummy, organic foods and products…..kinda like Whole Foods, but cheaper. Their selection of products is slighter better than Whole Foods, in my opinion,especially the snacks. 🙂
So of course, I picked up the Tea Tree Tingle and the Nourish Spa conditioners to test them out.
I also grabbed some Coconut Oil and Coconut Cream. Never used the Cream before, but it was only $1.99. The Coconut oil was only $5.99…at least half the price of a similar size at Whole Foods. Of course I got other stuff too, but I won’t bore you with my purchases.
I’m excited to try out the new conditioner to see if I’ll fall in love like everyone else. I can’t wait to take these mini twists out.

I went and I was pretty underwhelmed and overwhelmed at the same time haha. I realized that I would have to take my time trying all the different packaged items (I guess I had conceptualized the store a little more as a grocery store). Have you tried alot of their foods and goodies? If so, what do you recommend in terms of food? All their hair products have protein in them so I have to stay far away 🙁

i’m so happy TJ finally headed out to texas. There’s one already open in Houston area but it’s about an hour from where I live and it ain’t that serious. Luckily one is opening about 30 minutes away albeit in a hip area of town and in a place with not even close to enough parking but I’ll venture there when it opens anyway…

The coconut oil smells absolutely yummy. I love it! I have also tried the Nourish Spa conditioner and I love it for a cowasher.
Trader joe is to far out for me now. The one that was in my area closed 🙁 just after I got hip to them to.
