Whipfinity is a shea butter whip made by www.landofpure.net with all natural ingredients. It is marketed as a multi-funtional product for hair and skin and promises to:

  • Moisturize, soften and strengthen the hair (can be used for twists, braids, flat ironing, locs)
  • Soften and hydrate the skin
  • Stimulate hair growth (when massaged into scalp daily)
  • Speed up the healing process of scars
  • Provide relief from Eczema
Product Description
I received a 2 oz travel of this product in the Citrus Blossom scent and was very excited to try it because Argan oil, also known as “liquid gold” and is quite expensive, is listed as the second ingredient. I was also intrigued because it is the first Shea whip I’ve seen that contained Rosewater.
The ingredient list is very short and includes: Unrefined Shea butter, Argan Oil, Grapeseed Oil,  Coconut oil, Avocado Oil, Castor Oil, Rosewater, Aloe Vera and Vitamin E.  The whip is very smooth in consistency and easily melts into the hair and skin. The Citrus blossom scent is very light and pleasant but I could still pick up hints of the Shea butter.
Product Performance
When I first received this product, I had recently completed my mini twists. I used Whipfinity as a maintenance product to seal my hair after spritzing it on a daily basis. The product performed well and by the time I took my twists down for a mini twist out two weeks later, my hair felt soft and had great shine. As a maintenance product/sealant it scores a perfect 10.

I also used Whipfinity on my elbows, knees  and feet after showering and it did leave my skin feeling soft and hydrated. As a result it gets a 9.7 out of 10 for its performance on my skin.

To better test it’s claims to moisturize and soften the hair, I used Whipfinity (on freshly washed hair) to twist my hair (I applied a light leave in conditioner underneath).  I did notice that my hair was shiny and very soft while it was wet.
When I removed the twists, the definition was great and my hair felt soft and was still shiny. Even after separating the twists for a fluffy twistout, and wearing it out in 100 degree weather, there was still some definition to be seen.
At night, I lightly misted my hair with water, and sealed with a tiny bit of Whipfinity and retwisted in large twists. On the second day, my hair was a tad bit softer than on day one, but still had great definition and shine. I cannot comment on the product’s claim to strenghten the hair or stimulate hair growth, because those are effects that will be better observed after continued use.

Overall, Whipfinity is a great product and I enjoyed using it. If I had to rate it’s performance on my hair, I would rate it 8.7 out of 10. It ranges in price from $5 for a 2oz travel size to $27 for a 16oz, which places it in the medium to medium high price point as compared to similar types of products on the market. However, a little goes a long way, as I still have about half of my 2oz jar left.

Disclaimer : I was sent this sample of Whipfinity for the purpose of a review. The opinions expressed are honest and based on my experience with using the product on my hair. I was not paid nor did I receive any compensation in return for a positive review
