How long have you been natural & what do enjoy most about it?
I’ve been natural for 2 years and I enjoy everything about being natural, for example trying new hair styles, experimenting with colors, embracing my natural curl pattern
Did *going natural* inspire you to make any changes in your life?
I believe I have became more confident in every aspect when it came to my physical appearance. I was sexually abused in the past and going natural, or “big chopping” was a way of cutting away the pain symbolically.
Have you inspired anyone else to embrace their natural hair?
Yes, I would say I’m a natural hair Nazi lol but I just try to encourage people and show them they goodness that can come out of it.
Have you had any negative experiences in relation to your hair?
I’ve overheard people talk bad about my hair in public, saying it looks dry etc etc. At school people would always make comments about how it’s in their way of the board lol. But I’ve learned to accept those things, people will have their opinions but it doesn’t have to reflect how I feel about my hair.
Have you had any other funny, inspiring or otherwise share worthy experiences you would like to share?
One day in class my friend started to hide pens and pencils in my hair to see how many could fit. It was ridiculous and we just thought it was so funny. She got at least 10 to fit

Serene, outspoken, Bold.
