On August 15th of this year, I will celebrate my 6th “anniversary” of being natural. In my first few months, I had to figure out how to keep my hair moisturized because it was prone to dryness. I always get questions about how I moisturize my hair, because it always looks so soft. Let me tell you, my hair gets super dry if I allow it, but I know exactly what to do fix it. In the post I share how to moisturize dry natural hair.

Let me first say that, in my opinion keeping your hair moisturized begins on wash day. Deep conditioning plays a huge part in my replenishing my hair’s moisture.

Once my hair has been cleansed and deep conditioned, I add my leave in conditioner, allow my hair to dry for a bit, and then proceed to add a creamy moisturizer/sealer and then seal it all in. Most naturals use the LOC (leave in, oil, cream) method to moisturize their hair. I do LCO because I find it works best for me.
Whenever I need an extra boost of moisture in between wash day, I also incorporate my Q-Redew into my moisturizing routine.
In this quick video I show you exactly how I moisturize my natural hair. Step by step 🙂
