I absolutely love the Amazing Race! I have been a fan of the show since Season 1 and I always tell my husband that we should apply, once I get over some of my *fears*, namely heights. đ I recently learned of GoBe games Dallas which takes place from May 22-23, that will give you that similar Race experience in 24 Hours. However, it allows you to pick your tasks.
WHAT IS IT?
GoBe Games is a 24-hour social adventure where you and your teammates (2-5 persons per team) tackle as many official GoBe challenges as possible. It’s like completing an entire season of The Amazing Race in one day with your friends.
HOWÂ IT WORKS
Participants will download the GoBe Games app that will serve as their guidebook for 24 hours of fun. Once they complete as many of the 300+ challenges as they can, they will submit photos and videos via  the App. They will also be able to do check-ins, see their points awarded, and check out a live feed of what the other teams are doing.
The challenge is to complete as many tasks as possible. I love that the GoBe games will allow you to be yourself while having fun with your friends. You can pick tasks that allow you to be Adventurous, Outdoors, Fit, Cultured, Fed, Charitable, Social.
Whether you hike to a mountain top, do 15 minutes of hot yoga wearing hot pants, have a pillow fight with a stranger, eat a tuna fish sandwich and then kiss a team member, or sing âEndless Loveâ to a random couple in a park, you pick the GoBe challenges you like best and fulfill them in whichever way your brain dictates.
PRIZES
The 24 Hour GoBe Games experience ends with a huge wrap up party, and a FREE public concert where participants will be awarded awesome prizes. The winning team gets a trip to Costa Rica. Cool right?

I’ve seen Amazing Race a few times in the past and I when it comes to certain things I can be a little chicken. However I’m slowly pushing myself out of my comfort zone and exposing myself to new experiences. Yes I would try it if I had the opportunity.

I must admit that I’ve never watched Amazing Race but one of my best friends loves that show. Event though I know little about Amazing Race, I would love to partake in this race. That’s so much fun and so different to the usual things that I do. I should look for something like this in NYC.

LOL….oh my goodness, yes. I’m afraid of snakes too…and reptiles and bugs.
Amazing race always did seem like alot of fun but all that flying to different countries with no sleep really puts a strain on a couple or friendship..lol! The Gobe Games seem a lot more doable with fun activities. I especially like the suggestion of having a pillow fight with a stranger, I would just hope that I didn’t get my block knocked off! LOL! đ
