I’m a sale shopper. I rarely shop online if something isn’t on sale. On top that, I always look for an additional coupon. Today is Cyber Monday, this biggest online shopping Day of the year. If you plan on taking advantage of the awesome deals and steals, Ebates is one site you’ll want to visit BEFORE you shop.
WHAT IS IT
Ebates gives you cashback for shopping online. That’s the simple, no frills answer. I’ve been a member for a few years and I love getting my “big fat payments” as they refer to them, via Paypal every quarter.
The percentage of Cash back received varies by retailer. Some offer 2% while others offer as much as 8% regularly. However, during peak online shopping seasons like Cyber Monday, Ebates offers double cash back. So in addition to the discount offered by the retailer, Ebates will give you double cash back on your total purchase. Ebates also regularly has exclusive coupons and free shipping deals.
Ebates also gives you a $5/$10 (depending on the retailer you pick) just for signing up.
Many of the popular retailers are on Ebates. Amazon, Ulta, Ebay, Nordstrom, JCPenney and Sephora are just a few. Even Groupon is part of Ebates, so yes you can get cashback while saving money with Groupon.
HOW IT WORKS
Prior to making your purchase go to Ebates.com and search for the retailer you plan on purchasing from. Once there, click on their link and Ebates will redirect your to their site while creating a “ticket” for your purchase. Once your purchase is complete, your Cash back should show up in your Ebates account. Payments are made via a method of your choice (I chose Paypal) every quarter.

I LOVE Ebates! I discovered it years ago when I was in college (a friend introduced me) and I’ve been in love ever since! I love using it when I plan trips and when they have 8% cash back (like they did this weekend!) Those checks always come when I need them most too <3
