Happy Monday!

Back in June, I attended the Eden Bodyworks “Style with Eden” event here in Dallas. I attempted some flat twists (which I’m yet to master) with Bantu Knots on the end because I wanted the “Curly Fro” look.

I decided to try out the Design Essentials Twist and Set Lotion. It was one of the items I received in my goodie bag from the Natural Hair Turn Up Event in NYC.

I set my flat twist and allowed it to dry overnight…or so I thought. Let’s just say that almost 12 hours later my hair was still not dry. As a result, the outcome was not what I envisioned. To me it was a semi-fail.

Watch how it all unfolds in the video below.

I’ll be trying out this style again soon with a different product. I’m determined to get it right.

What style(s) do you struggle with?

Until next time

I use to do the Bantu Knots when I first big chopped but since my fro has reached a reasonable size (not as long as yours yet) I’ve just been too lazy as well as my hair seems to have its own curl pattern that the next day it springs back to its regular pattern. Your hair looks fantastic, I wish I can do this, I think I am going to try it again.
