Bantu Knot Out Day 1 :/ |
So I got my hair blown out and shaped recently, and I figured it would be the perfect time to revisit the Bantu Knot out as a style. I often use huge Bantu Knots to give my hair a semi-stretch look, but I’ve only worn a Bantu Knot Out once. They are a kinda tricky style, at least for me, and I’m not always fond of the day one, tight, “vintage” look.
I did two strand twists and then Bantu Knots
On Day 2, I did the Knots and added this gigantic bow that I made with a scarf. It was my favorite look.
Eh hem..Notice I’m getting better at Flat twisting? 😉 |
When I got bored of the Bantu Knots, I decided to convert it to a Flat twist out. By that time, my hair was so dirty and “producty”, but I loved the way it turned out.
This is my hair after wearing the flat twist out for about 6 hours. I’d just gotten back from the “Kinks & Kicks Mixer” hosted by Naturally Supreme.
I converted the Flat twists into large two strand twists, and pushed it back with a headband…I was loving it. 🙂
Did I mention that I LOVE my new shape?

Thanks for putting up with the flood of pics. It’s been a while since I’ve been feeling my hair like this. What a difference a trim/shape makes. 😛
What has your hair been up to lately? Feel free to share below
Until next time
lol…thank you Emily. Girl, that’s at Buttons in Addison. I went to a Painting Class there a few Saturday’s ago and I used their “bushes” for my photoshoot. 🙂
