By now you know that I love crochet braids! They are easy and generally inexpensive and make for great protective styles. I decided to use this crochet method to do my sister’s kinky twists. This is actually the third time I’ve used this method, but instead of crocheting in the entire style or doing singles in the nape and the edges like I’ve done the other times, I decided to do the entire perimeter in single twists.
We used two packets of this braiding hair that I got at one of my local beauty supply stores. I did the usual prep by soaking in vinegar to keep down the itchies. The entire style took about 7 hours to complete, which is great for someone (me) who took almost 20+ hours to do her first set of kinky twists back in 2009! 🙂
