Like most naturals, I’m a “fan” of many natural hair care product lines on Facebook, one of them being SheaMoisture….and that’s where I first saw Dominique Goosby Harris! 🙂

I remember her posting picture after picture of her BEAUTIFUL twist outs, braid outs and updo’s done with Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque (one of my favorite stylers) and sealed with her “Natty Butter.” My first thought was “what IS Natty Butter?” 🙂

To make a long story short, Dominique started a facebook page “All things O’Natural” which I “LIKED” and I learned all about this “mysterious” butter. She is generous enough to giveway a 2oz sample of Natty Butter for every 200 likes, and that is how I got to try the  famous O’Natural Natty Butter 🙂

According to Dominique’s Blog All things O’ Natural. “The O’Natural Natty Butter is a multi purpose butter. It is excellent for hair, skin, as a shave cream and is gentle enough for babies. It 100% all natural with no fillers, parabens, artificial color, or waxes. It uses natural essential oils for fragrance and has some wonderful ingredients in it, such as Shea Butter, Mango Butter, Argan Oil and Tea Tree Oil , Jojoba Oil, Castor Oil and a blend of ayurvedic ingredients. For all my lovely O’Naturals, it is a great moisturizing agent for twist outs or braidouts and is great as a scalp massage treatment and as a “boost” to your deep conditioner.”

I received my sample in early August (a welcomed addition to my Ayurvedic Regimen) and have been using it mainly as a sealant for my twistouts/braidouts etc and  after spritzing my hair before bedtime.  The first thing I noticed was the smell! Oh my GOODNESS! It was slightly sweet with hint of ginger… It reminded me of sweet potato pudding…..YUMMY 🙂

The texture was very smooth and soft, although not as fluffy as I like my butters but I think the 112 degree Texas heat had a lot to do with it 🙂

This product kept my hair feeling soft and moisturized all day without being greasy. A little bit goes a long way and it gave a healthy shine to my hair.

Speaking of heat, the Natty Butter worked great at maintaining the definition in my twists even after many hours of “humidity exposure”. That’s quite impressive, because so far I haven’t been able to find many products that can do that except my Whipped Shea Mango Cocoa Concoction. I have to say, I think it (my concoction) has to settle for second place…especially because of the Natty Butter’s Ayurvedic ingredients 🙂

Lately, I’ve been using it to do my evening scalp massages as part of my Ayurvedic Regimen….again….the SMELL..it takes me away and makes me HUNGRY! 🙂
So do I like the O’Natural Natty Butter infused with Ayurvedic herbs and other natural goodness?

If this (end of the day) twist out could talk, it would scream…..YESSSSSSS!

Good job, Dominique! You’ve got a WINNER 🙂 If you want to check out the O’Natural Ayurvedic Natty Butter please visit livingthenattylifestyle.blogspot.com
Until next time…..
