To be honest, when I first got it, I thought this stuff is THICK but then again the title did say HEAVY cream, and that’s exactly what it is. A thick, heavy cream filled with Ayurvedic goodies like Amla and Brahmi and other organic ingredients.
As you can see, it is a multi-functional product which is great because at $16.50 for an 8oz it can get really expensive really fast. I have used it as a leave-in, a sealer over my Koils by Nature leave in, as a scalp butter and on my edges. I haven’t tried it as an overnight Deep Treatment because I don’t want to “waste” it..lol
A very little bit of this stuff goes a LONG way so there’s no need to be heavy handed or you’ll end up with sticky clammy hair. This is marketed for thick, coarse hair so if you’re “fine haired” it will be too heavy for your hair. The site says it has a light, citrus scent but I think it smells like Castor oil with a hint of citrus but it’s definitely not off-putting 🙂
I find it works better on wet/damp hair since it’s Castor Oil and not water based. It keeps my hair soft and moisturized for at least 3 days. I like using it as a styler for my mini-twists for that very reason. (I use a leave-in, allow my hair to dry and then use a teeny bit on each twist.)
Have you tried this product? How did you like it? Please share your thoughts/experiences below.
Until next time
What are swap boards?
Never tried it and because of the price I will not buy it.
Thank you so much Dani. I completely understand, I’m on a finish to buy challenge myself. You should check the swap boards/forums to see if you can swap something in your stash for it. That’s how I get to try a lot of stuff 🙂
Siiiigh, I am trying to stay away drom purchasing new stuff but this looks nice. FYI, YOUR TWISTS ARE GORGEOUS! & so perfect.
Your twists are absolutely stunning!!! I’ve heard many great reviews as well about Qhemet B., and was on the fence whether I should purchase for my daughter (and myself), but after seeing your beautiful hair, I’M SOLD!!! Thank you ma’am!
I luv the moringa tree conditioning ghee, burdock root cream and the Aethopika twist butter from QB! I like ur results and think I will try this too!
Hey Natural Nigerian, I guess you can say that but I find it works better on damp hair because it has more castor oil than water :). Thanks so much for the wonderful compliment, no I didn’t shape my hair like that, it kind grows that way and I make my parts vertical instead of horizontal towards the front so that the hair falls like that. Thanks so much for commenting 🙂
I see water as one of the top 3 ingredients. So it is water based. Your hair is lovely. Did you cut it into a shape? It falls into place really well.
Aww…thanks Dovie 🙂
oh how i wish my hair was as thick as yours! LOOL!!! Those twists are GORGEOUSSS!!!!
