how-to-low-side-bun-natural-hair

Happy New Year! We made it to 2015. I’m so grateful for all your support and I wish you and your family the very BEST as we navigate through this year.

New Year, fresh start, right? Well in this case it’s New Year, New Hair..kinda.

I started off the year with this very easy low side bun that was a new (to me) style. I have done almost every style there is, except a low side bun.

The video below is a collaboration with a few lovely ladies on YouTube. We each tried a style that we have never done before.

Low Side Bun on Natural HairThis style is super easy, and I added some really inexpensive hair jewelry to spice things up a bit. Since I’ve been cutting my hair a lot, I was really surprised that I had enough to make a bun of my own. I did add some extra hair for a little “drama” 🙂

I’ve been asked about my hair goals for 2015 and they remain to the same as every year..to have healthy hair and to have FUN.

Of course I had to add a little sparkle and faux fur to the look for New Year’s Eve. I got this cute necklace from Walmart & the Vest came from JustFab.

Enjoy the video and be sure to check out the styes created by the other ladies. I listed them all in the video description box.

YOUR TURN: What are you looking forward to most this year?

Until next time

You look so pretty! I’m loving the bun. I’d love to do my hair up in a bun, but it’s so thin, it just falls apart.

Even when I had long hair I always found a low side bun difficult to pull off, but this is something I think I can manage! P.S. LOVE the vest from Just Fab!

I like the look. I wear my hair in a bun, especially when I am having a bad hair day lol. May have to try and rock it low and to the side.

    • January 3, 2015 / 9:55 PM

Yep, a bun is great for hiding those bad hair days too.

  23. January 2, 2015 / 12:30 AM

I am so a bun kind of girl. In late spring, I suffer some heat damage and shedding. 🙁 I just cut all of that off. It’s giving me struggle bun right now. 🙁 Hopefully my spring, I can wear a cut low bun again.

    • January 3, 2015 / 9:54 PM

lol..your struggle bun will be back in tip top share before you know it.
