I Define Me Tour Dallas Women's Empowerment Luncheon

This past Sunday, I attended the I Define Me Tour Women’s Empowerment Luncheon here in Dallas. I Define Me is a movement started by Kayla of the KG Lifestyle & Rachel of UK Naturals.  The Luncheon was an intimate gathering aimed at empowering women to be who they are naturally.

Since I didn’t have any responsibilities at this event, I decided to do a bit of vlogging. 🙂
*The event was held at a restaurant, so the camera is picking up a bit of background noise from the other patrons.*  This reminds me that I need to invest in a mic 🙂

I had a really great time at the luncheon, and the panel which was led by Deya Smith of DeyaDirect was open, engaging and really fun.

Some of the main takeaways
Don’t be ashamed of what you’ve been through.
Be Yourself and Love yourself unconditionally.
Don’t allow beauty standard to define who you are.

This seems as if it was an incredible and empowering event. The last event I attended was a conference for bloggers a friend and I organized.

Great photos and takeaways, looks like it was a fabulous event. I absolutely LOVE events centered around women and self-empowerment. The last event I attended was an author talk and book signing with the Links group (also an amazing group of women).

Me too! Thanks Christine. I’m definitely making it a point to attend more like these in the New year.

The last event I attended was one hosted my BeLoved Atlanta — a non-profit dedication to the restoration and education of women coming out of the sex slave trade ministry. Last Sunday they set a goal of $60,000 to be raise before the end of the year. I am happy to say that they a more raised a little more than 2/3rd of the money thus far. Seeing one of the ladies that I mentored in college become one of the youngest social good influencers in the nation just simply blows me away.

I define me is one of my motto’s so this definitely sounds like my kind of event. My last event was the Cosmo Fun Fearless Life Event and it too had so many great takeaways about owning your life.

I heard a lot about Fun Fearless Life. I have a few blogger friends who attended as well.

Love the takeaways Vee. Don’t be ashamed of what you’ve been through. These words are so true.
    You look lovely as usual.

I haven’t been to a social media or journalism conference in a while. I have gone to quite a few for my day job. The main gems that I take away from conferences is stay the course. Diligence eventually pays off.

Love that Regina. Staying the course is important. Thanks for sharing.
