This past weekend I attended TeamNatural’s Annual Curlfriends Brunch. Like last year’s brunch it was an amazing time. The food was great, the atmosphere was great and I loved meeting and interacting with new and old curlfriends.
The ladies on my table were so much fun to be around. They literally had me dying with laughter when one on the blurted out, “wait, I know you. I pinned you on Pinterest!”:) Fun times indeed.
The special guests are this year’s brunch were AskpRoy (host), Obia Ewah of Obia Naturals & Dr. Maeling Murphy aka “Natural Chica”. I did a bit of vlogging, so in the coming days, I will be sharing some of the candid, real and honest conversations from the panelists about their experiences while building their brands.
I shared how much a fan I am of Obia Naturals products so I was really excited about the reveal of one of their newest products. We got the new detangling conditioner in our goody bags so I’m looking forward to trying it.
Then it happened. I was literally NOT READY as the young kids say. I have known Constance of TeamNatural for over 3 years and we even collaborated (along with my friend Julian R. Addo of Bella Kinks) on an Expo. I was NOT READY for this unexpected surprise.
I’m really honored and humbled to have been recognized by one of my peers along with my awesome friend Julian. As I mentioned in my Facebook post I was totally floored, and there was ugly crying…lots and lots of ugly crying. Thank you again Constance.
On a less sappy note, I kept my brunch-fit pretty basic with this off the shoulder dress from Target that I wore as a top, and a pair of white skinny jeans with tan pumps.
My hair was styled using Obia Naturals Twist Whip Butter.
With my friend Gina who I finally met after being friends on social media for almost 5 years 🙂
