Havana Mambo Twists have been all the rage in the natural hair community for the past few months. I decided to give this super, easy style a whirl after having the hair in my possession for a while. I used 6 packs of ย the Janet Collection brand of hair.
To be very honest, it took me a few days to get used to this hair. The strands are described as “medium”, but once you install the hair, it can look “bulky” really fast, especially if you have a small head, like I do. ๐
After a few days, the look grew on me, but I still may remove a few strands.

Prior to installing the style, I braided my hair (not so neatly ๐ ) going all the way back. While this is an easy, quick, inexpensive protective style option, the hair does tend to get fly aways easily so bear that in mind if you decided to try it.

YOUR TURN: Have you tried the Havana Mambo Twists?ย
Definitely looks great on you! I may try these for the summer…do you suggest doing bigger cornrows for the Havana twists than small cornrows?
Thank you so much Christina. I would suggest medium to bigger since the strands are pretty thick.
Okay that definitely makes sense! I’ll try that soon…thanks!!
I love you hair! I’m going to be getting twists or braids soon and I’m so excited.
Best Wishes,
