For the past few weeks I’ve been rocking some extra big hair thanks to the KinkyCurlyYaki Afro Coily Clip Ins. This is actually my first time wearing clip ins and I’ve really fallen in love with them. While I love crochet braids, I have really been enjoying the “clip them in when you feel like it and go” option of clip ins.
The Afro Coily is newest (to be released on August 10th) texture of clip ins from KinkyCurlyYaki.
All of KinkyCurlyYaki’s hair is 100% virgin human hair. I got my clip ins in 16” and they had more of a natural brown color, so I colored them to match my hair color. When I received the hair it was super soft and I could literally run my fingers right through it. Video evidence below 🙂 For the initial installation, I styled the clips in in a twist and curl. The clip ins blended with so well with my hair.
For the past few days I’ve been wearing the clips ins in it’s “natural” state. I’ve been co-washing the hair, applying a leave in and letting it air dry. I keep my hair braided down under the clip ins. You can really see how well it blends with my hair.
I have really been enjoying the versatility of the hair. I even wore them up in a “puff” the day after wearing the twist and curl.
Since it is human hair, it does require maintenance to keep it looking its best, but so far I have not had any issues with it. The shedding has also been very minimum.
I’ll be taking the hair with me when I leave for vacation on Monday, and I’m looking forward to styling it some more. Stay tuned 🙂
In the meantime, check out how my initial install of the Kinky Curly Yaki Afro Coily Clip Ins in the video below.
