Whenever I get the chance to spread the message of loving your natural hair, I get excited. I am by no means a “natural hair nazi”, but I love natural hair and I love encouraging others, especially little girls to love their hair. I have quite a few little “curlies” in my life and they all know that “Aunty Vashti” is the natural hair lady. 🙂 One even told her Mom that she wants her hair to big like mine. 🙂
I was really excited to learn about the new Curly Kids Coloring Book by Curl Centric.
The Curly Kids Coloring Book was created by Akira Byrd of CurlCentric. I first came in contact with Akira when I featured her on my blog as few years ago.
About The Curly Kids Coloring Book
The Curly Kids coloring book was created so that children with curly hair can see it shown in a positive light. Curly hair is often portrayed as needing to be fixed or unmanageable. Sometimes, the kids experience bullying by other kids who are not familiar with the beauties of curly hair. So the Curly Kids Coloring Book ultimate is for every hair texture, so that every can see textured hair in a positively. That’s a complete win-win for textured and straight hair wearers alike!
Through my personal experience, the experiences of my daughters and blogging at Curl Centric, I realize there is a need for positive balance, with a positive message and positive images; Curly Kids Coloring Book is my contribution to help balance the scales. Moms of curly haired kids have been left with no alternative that celebrates their child’s curliness. I wanted to provide an option.
Curly Kids Coloring Book contains over 30 images and includes action shots, mermaids, princesses and ballerinas!
Some of the styles include are bantu knots, wash & gos, two strand twists, locs, afro puffs and many many more. The Curly Kids Coloring book is an easy way to spread the message of love and pride for natural hair to curly girls everywhere.
The Curly Kids Coloring Book is currently available on Amazon.com and will be the perfect gift for the little curlies in your life.
I can’t wait to get the whole book! My daughter and I really enjoyed the sample pages! #BeCurlCentric
I love this! I wish they had more stuff like that when my daughter was younger. She’s 12 now, and very much in love with her curls for which I’m so grateful. Thanks for sharing!
Oh gosh I definitely need this coloring book for my kids. How cool is this? I want my kids to love their natural hair no matter the texture.
This looks adorable! I’ll definitely be sharing this on my blog as well, and can’t wait to show my girls.

Thanks Christine. I agree.
Oh now this is cute! I love things that are unique and different and of all the coloring books I buy this one is a must. My daughter would love this.
Kita, thank you for your support! I pray your daughter loves it!!
I definitely think she will.
This is so, so, so cute! I am definitely going to get this book for The Princess Fairy and all her homies getting it as birthday gifts too. She’s at the age where she is very aware of her hair and the texture so this is perfect for her.
Rattles and Heels!
“The Princess Fairy and all the homes,”- LOVE IT! I thoroughly believe that shining a positive light on the beautifulness our hair embodies, the more they will learn to appreciate it.
Thank you so much for the support 🙂
Yes, they will love it.
