When it comes to my personal style, it’s not easy to put it into words. I am more of a “if I see something and I like it, I’ll get it” type of person. A few weeks ago, I attended the Spring Trend Influencer Soiree at Front Door Fashion in Dallas, and I was blown away at how well they matched my style based solely on my online profile.

The Soiree at Front Door Fashion was hosted by Teia of Life According to Teia.

Prior to the event, we were asked to complete an online style profile which is one of the first steps in the consultation process. The profile covers the basics (height, weight, bra size, body shape etc) to the fine details such as preferred jewelry base, budget, and even asks which part of your body you want to accentuate. It covers everything!

Style Consultation with Front Door Fashion

When we arrived at the event, we had items picked out for us by Front Door Fashion professional stylist Carson Carney. Front Door Fashion offers a Styled Box service, Styling Lounge sessions and Skype consultations. They also recently added Closet Consultations to their services (only offered locally in Dallas).

When completing your style profile, you’re also asked for a link to your Pinterest fashion board. Your board is  used for inspiration, and in my case it was almost brought to life before my eyes.

Once I was done “oohing and ahhhing” at the my selections. Stylist Carson Carney walked me through the pieces she selected, listed the reasons why she selected them and then it was time to hit the dressing room.

Did I mention that she really captured my style? From my love of vibrant color (turquoise, orange , yellow) to cute and comfy aspect, she really nailed it.

Fellow blogger Teia of Life According to Teia, had a styling lounge session which is offered to customers on a one-on-one basis. After making your appointment and completing your profile, you’ll arrive at the store to view and try on your items over champagne and treats. Fun, right?

Front Door Fashion’s services require no membership, no shipping fees and no styling fees. There is also no premium cost on any of the name brands they carry, which includes Nicole Miller, Nanette Lepore, BCBG & BCBG Generation, and local Dallas designer (and Project Runway contestant) Shrin Askari.

If you prefer the styled box option, your order arrives at your door within 2 weeks with 3-6 custom styled ensembles. Once you’ve selected the items you like, you have 5 days to return the rest at no cost. Their stylists also offer a Skype after sale service to help you put your outfits together.

Front Door Fashion was founded in June 2013 by Andrea Ison & Nina Lowe (pictured above with fellow bloggers Teia & Leah from Beautyforeashes), and is located in the Dallas Design District. Their services provide a solution to women whose problem is lack of time, energy and/or savvy to shop and style themselves.

Even as someone who enjoys shopping at the mall, this was a fun experience and I’d definitely do it again.

Your turn: Have you ever had a style consultation? Is this a service you’d consider?

Wow! I absolutely looooove this idea and how everything turned out! I’m not “normal” as I would gladly hand over my shopping/outfit styling to someone else on a regular basis. I’ll definitely have to check out the service.

LOL…who like normal anyway? It’s definitely a great service for women on the go.

I was looking into something like this to revamp my style. I think I’m going to look into it. I wanted like a personal stylist to pick a few items for me for $75 a month but still haven’t found the perfect person.

    Thanks for sharing.
