1)What would you like the readers to know about you?
I’m just an imperfect woman who loves a perfect God. I’m not a holy roller or a bible thump-per. I’m just a girl who loves Jesus and fashion.
2) Tell us about By Faith Accessories. What/who was the inspiration behind it? How did it get started?
By Faith Accessories was inspired by a time in my life when I was going through a lot and I mean a lot. And every christian cross or shirt I came across with a smile and/or hello, was confirmation for me that Jesus was with me. It was a constant reminder of his love and I needed that. I had always wanted to be in business for myself and when the opportunity came along, I invested in myself and by faith, By Faith Accessories was launched.
3) What items do you currently sell and who is your target market?
We currently carry stylish and traditional christian inspirational jewelry. Our target market is currently women who love God and His word. I like to think of the women who wear our jewelry as evangelist fashionistas. Because they are getting the word of God out through fashion.
4) What distinguishes By Faith Accessories from its competitors?
The word of God is never changing, but the fashion world is always changing and we try to find pieces that stay true to His word, but also change with the times.
5) What is your vision for By Faith Accessories? Where would you like the business to be in 5 years?
Ok I’ll give you my vision, but I guarantee God’s vision is much bigger. Haha. The jewelry line is very small right now. I would like to expand the line and also expand into clothing. Five years from now I would like to have my own designs in place, with By Faith Accessories being the go to shop for Christian jewelry and fashion.
6)What is the biggest lesson you’ve learnt as an entrepreneur? What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is, you will get out of your business what you put into it so give it your best! And know that mistakes will be made just don’t forget to learn from them.
