I honestly had no intention of taking a blog hiatus, at least not one of this length, but sometimes that’s the way things happen. I haven’t abandoned the blog so I wanted to check in to say hello and to share some updates.

So what have I been up to since my last post?

Bella Kinks, Demetria & I
As most of you know, I also coordinate/host events here in Dallas with my friend Bella Kinks. In the month of February we had the opportunity to host two events within 2 weeks of each other. The first was “Cocktails with Belle”  with Demetria Lucas of A Belle in Brooklyn” and the BravoTv Reality Show Blood, Sweat & Heels. More pics here

The second February event was a Book Signing and Brunch with Alex Elle. This was unlike any event we’ve hosted before. I even uploaded a VLOG that you can watch HERE.

HAIR UPDATES

So what’s up with my hair? I been either wearing my new favorite style..the Curly Fro.
Or my trusty pinned up 2 strand twists. Check out this video if you’re interested in how I pin up my twists. 🙂
OTHER UPDATES

On March 20th, I celebrated my 35th birthday! I feel extremely blessed that God has allowed me to see 35 years of life. I spent my birthday weekend in Shreveport, LA. It was a surprise trip, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself 🙂

This past weekend, I also had my first solo hosting gig. Rochelle Graham of Alikay Naturals was in Dallas for a seminar on “Reaching Your Natural Hair Goals”. I’ll be sharing pics/video of the event soon.

Wait all of that’s great, but I thought you said you were making changes and moving your blog?

I did, and I am. I was initially trying to rush to get things done, but I decided to slow down for a bit. I’m back on track now so the changes will be happening soon 🙂

I know this was a bunch of random updates, but I wanted to dust off some the cobwebs on the blog.  I sincerely appreciate everyone of you who has taken the time to read my posts and follow my blog. To everyone who has inboxed and messaged inquiring about my whereabouts, thank you so much. I’m still here 🙂  I’ll definitely be back to posting regularly very soon.
