Happy Thursday! I’m sooo looking forward to the weekend, but before it arrives and captures my attention, I wanted to share this style with you.

I like to call this style “business in the back, party in the front”. It’s super easy to do and can be dressed up or down. It’s also perfect for summer, since your hair is off your back. The bangs can be modified, folded, tucked and rolled to keep them out of your face as well.

I first wore this style last October and I received lots of requests for a “how to”, so I decided to recreate it this past weekend. I started on stretched hair and grabbed one of my fave products for twisting on dry hair (B.A.S.K Palm Tapioca Deluxe Hair Cream) and I set to work.

Shout out to my 3 wanna-be flat twists! I’m a work in progress, and I find I can do flat twists better when I don’t plan on doing them. Once I plan, it always ends up a fail. Is that weird? Anywho, I pinned up the back and undid the twists in the bang section.

See why I love the Palm Tapioca? It’s the bee’s knees! For maintenance I’ve been retwisting the bang section. It’s been 5 days and my hair is still ridiculously soft.

Check out the “how to” for this style in the video below. Thank you so much in advance for watching.

What styles have you’ve been wearing to beat the heat? Feel free to share in the comments below.
Until next time

When you do your twist with bask tapioca, what other products do you use in conjunction with it? Do yiu use done type if oil or butter as well ?

a google search of twisted up do led me your blog and i’m so happy i’ve found it. Cut my hair memorial day weekend after transitioning for a year and a half, and i am so glad to find someone with similar hair to mines. I don’t think i can do this yet, because i’m a little challenged in the style department, but i think i can try something similar.

I wish I can wear twists in my hair. My hair is just way too fine. They even untwist themselves…. Yours looks great though. I’m a lil jelly!
