Going natural brought out a level creativity, and self-expression that was (seemingly) hidden deep inside of me. I absolutely love and embrace my my hair fully. Accessorizing my curls is one of the many ways I like to express myself.

Here are 4 easy ways to accessorize your natural hair.

1) Hair Jewelry

Low Side Bun on Natural Hair

Adding a cute piece of hair jewelry is a great way to accessorize your look without doing too much. In this example, I used a cute metallic piece to accessorize a chic, low bun.

2) Head Wrap / Scarf

This is one of my favorite hair accessories. As you can see, I love colorful wraps. Head wraps are a great way to change up your look while expressing your individuality. My friend Ashley of MommyWeek also known as the “TurbanQueen” and I recently did a head wrap collaboration. Check out our tutorials here.

3) Fabric Head band

If you’re not a fan of head wraps, you can try using a cute fabric head band to spice up your look. The options are endless when it comes to head bands. Pick one that suits you and your personality, accessorize and go! It’s that easy.

Hats are another great way to accessorize your natural hair. As the temperatures drop further, hats also help to keep your head warm. My friend Adanna of Rattles and Heels is a great example of using hats as an accessory.
