Nubian Heritage All Natural Deodorant

I have been on the hunt for a natural deodorant for a long. I have tried quite a few brands, but never really found one I was happy with long term. Last year, the Nubian Heritage All Natural 24 Deodorant was introduced.

I have been using Nubian Heritage & SheaMoisture hair and body products for years with great results, so I decided to give the new deodorant a try.

Nubian Heritage Honey & Black Seed Deodorant
I purchased 4 deodorants for the collection:

  • Coconut & Papaya with Vanilla Oil
  • African Black Soap with Aloe & Vitamin E
  • Honey & Black Seed with Wild Honey & Apricot Oil
  • Indian Hemp & Haitian Vetiver with Neem Oil

So do they work? I share my First Impressions in this QUICK video below!

YOUR TURN: Do you use natural deodorants? Share which ones work for you!

Lavilin has gotten some great press recently, I’d recommend considering that brand as well.

I’ve never seen these before! I love the fact that they are natural. I’ll have to look for them in stores.

When my aunt was going through Chemo we all switched to NAtural brands to help her feel like she wasn’t along. I haven’t looked back sense. We all hated Toms, no protection at all, then we found Arm and Hammer Naturals, we’ve been using that. Then I found one at Lush Cosmetics, but it was a block and it seemed to take a lot of effort to get it to rub on. I think next time I’ll keep it in a small container. I like seeing what works but I’ve also fund that honestly, i dont smell as bad as I thought I would when I first tried it. I also used to get these big lumps under my arm and had to have one surgerically removed and I between that and my aunt i made the switch.

I’m really excited to go and try these though, because I love every smell that they come in already because I use Shea Moisture products.

Oh wow! I’m sorry to hear that Michelle. I agree about not smelling as bad as we think lol. I usually detox my underarms using Bentonite Clay as well .I’ve heard a lot about the one from Lush as well. You can never had too many options so I may look into that one as well.

I make my own. Coconut oil, baking soda, cornstarch, and tea tree oil. You have to get the proportions right, but it’s worked for me for 3 years now.

    • March 11, 2015 / 1:24 AM

Ok cool! I have seen a few recipes but I haven’t made my own for some reason.

I’ve been using Trader Joe’s Natural Deodorant and it’s just ok. I’m on the lookout for new one so I’ll check this one out.

I switched to natural deodorants last year. One of the brands I used was too shea buttery (LOL) but smelled great. The one I’m using now is okay I guess but it doesn’t have a scent and isn’t an antiperspirant. I’m gonna have to check these out. Thanks!

lol..no problem. LOL I say coconutty and and you say Shea buttery 😀

This is a great natural alternative! I don’t like the strong chemicals in my normal deodorant. Thanks for sharing Vashti!

Girl, I tried the Toms natural deodorant just last week and let’s just say, that was a mistake. I know it takes a minute for your body to adjust, but FUNKY is not my style. I will have to look into this one!

LMBO! Girl I know exactly what you mean. If you try this one, hopefully you’ll have better results.
