How to Be Comfortable in Your Own Skin | #OpticSmiles

I have always been pretty comfortable in my own skin. In exactly 16 days I will celebrate my birthday. As with every birthday, I’m uber excited. As the years go by, I also realize that the older I get, the more comfortable I am in my own skin. Allow me to share some steps to being comfortable in your skin.

BEING COMFORTABLE IN YOUR OWN SKIN

Spend Time With You
By nature, I’m an introvert so I tend to spend a lot of time by myself. I always get asked if I get bored. I honestly don’t 🙂 Even if you’re an extrovert, having quality “you time”,  just you and your thoughts, goes a long way in being comfortable with YOU.

Be Confident In Your Abilities

We are each born with unique gifts and talents. They were given to us to use and share with the world. Sometimes it’s easy to doubt our abilities, even if they are clear to others. Trust me, I’ve done it. Once you’ve become confident in your own abilities, the sky is the limit.

Don’t Compare
DON’T COMPARE! Yes, I repeated it. 🙂  If you’re active on social media, it’s hard to miss what everyone else is doing. Everywhere you look, someone is going somewhere amazing or doing something fabulous. Don’t allow yourself to be sidetracked but what other people are doing. Be genuinely happy for others, but keep your eyes focused on your goals, and unplug sometimes if you must 😉

Yes smile!  I’m sure you’ve read about the many health benefits of smiling. It helps to lift your mood, releases endorphins and helps relieve stress. It also makes others happy!

By nature, I’m a “smiler” and I love making other people smile. Have you ever looked in the mirror and just smiled? You should try it.

Since I’m pretty much always showing teeth, I try to keep them as white as possible. I’ve been using Colgate since I was a child, so I was intrigued about the Colgate® Optic White® Express White Toothpaste. Unlike most whitening toothpastes, Optic White® Express contains twice times the professionally recommended ingredient hydrogen peroxide, than Optic White Sparkling Mint Toothpaste. This helps to whiten your teeth faster, in 3 days(*) to be exact, just by brushing.

being-comfortable-in-our-skin-optic-smilesI was able to find the Colgate Optic White® Express at my local Walmart on an end cap display like the one above. The Optic White Express is currently available in 3oz & 4.5oz. The 1.45oz travel size will hit select stores on March 14th.

Since I already know I’ll be cheesing, I can’t wait to see what my smile looks like by my birthday.

I’m most comfortable in my own skin when I’m having that me time… sometimes that’s me and hubby time LOL but he makes me feel comfortable to be who I am (as it should be!). I’m also an introvert so navigating through the world can be tough.

That part about not comparing is on point! Aaah social media. 🙂 Gotta unplug and focus on you. I’ve learned that and it definitely helps!

Hunty, you are simply fab and gorgeous! I love that pink color 🙂 I haven’t always been comfortable in my skin, but cutting my hair off actually started the journey of me loving me for all of who I am. Love these tips and optic white 🙂
