In the past few months Shea Moisture has released 3 new lines of products including their Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Line. Naturals all over went wild..well many of them did. Everyone raved about how great this line was.

A few weeks ago I was strolling in Target, so I peeked into the hair aisle specifically looking for the Deep Conditioner from this line. They were sold out so I picked up the Intensive Hydration conditioner. All the items in this line are enriched with African Rock Fig & Baobab oil.

Like most of their other conditioners, the Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil conditioner is very creamy. This one applies easily to your strands and instantly softens up your hair, making detangling super easy.

Of course the real test of a conditioner’s performance always comes after it’s rinsed out. This one did not disappoint! My hair was really, really soft, had a nice sheen and smelled great. It definitely lives up to its claim of being a “dry hair recipe”. This conditioner has a super light scent that is not overpowering, at least for me.

Like all their other products, the ingredients in this line are all natural and amazing. This is the first time I’ve ever heard of Mafura Oil so I had to look it up.

I was slightly disappointed to see that honey listed towards the bottom of the ingredient list but otherwise, I was pleased with the performance of this conditioner.

The Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil line is exclusively sold at Target and is part of their “Made to Matter” initiative which donates 10% of sales to “empower disadvantaged women while protecting the planet and your skin.”

I will continue to use this conditioner until it runs out, but I REALLY want to try the Hair Masque/Deep Conditioner.

For the Masque: Let me just say that this is the best DC that I have ever used! I absolutely love this masque. It definitely does what it says it’s supposed to do. This is way better that the Yucca Masque from Shea Moisture. I have also been a fan of the Raw Shea Butter, but the Manuka masque is hands down the best for my fine, coily hair.

Agree – my hair is resistant to just about everything but this masque tamed my my dry dull hair – I used under my steamer – it’s thick but once rinsed out my head feel light – can’t wait to see my Bantu knot out results (wash day was today)

What do you think about this conditioner for my transitioning hair? My hair is super dry these days and needs some major TLC. Your hair looks super moist and healthy.

I think it would work well MJ. Any good conditioner with nice slip is what you need. This one is worth a try. Also pick up the Masque if you can find it.
