I’ve always been a lip gloss kinda girl. Until about 2 years ago, I rarely wore lipsticks. Since then, I’ve amassed quite a collection. Today I’m collaborating with some of my blogger buddies to share our favorite summer lipsticks/lip colors.
Meet the Ladies (From Top to Bottom – Left to Right)
Wet N Wild was one of first brands I fell in love with. Their Mega Last line is great quality, super pigmented, moisturizing, and generally retails for around $2.99. These three have gotten a lot of wear, especially for Spring/Summer.
(Left to Right)
Red Velvet: An vibrant orange based red.
Purty Persimmon: A vibrant orange. I never thought I would ever be a fan of orange lipstick but I’ve fallen in love with this one.
Don’t Blink Pink: This one took a little getting used to because it’s a hot pink. You can’t go unnoticed when wearing this color.
MAC Heroine: At first, I was skeptical about this one. Everyone raved about it but I wasn’t sure I was a purple lipstick kinda girl. I eased my way into wearing it and it too has grown on me. I plan to wear it a lot this summer.
Old habits die hard. Some days I’m just want to go back to my old lip gloss loving ways. This NYX Butter Gloss in “Eclair” is perfect for giving your lips a pop of color without being too much. It’s very moisturizing and applies easily. My lips are pretty pigmented and I’m able to get great coverage from one application.
Julep “Enchanted” Lip Gloss is another one of my favorites for the days when it’s just too hot to be bothered, but I want some sheer lip color. I received it a few months ago in my Julep Maven box and it has not left my purse. I love the fact that it’s not sticky and it’s moisturizing. I’m wearing it in my “hello” pic on the sidebar 🙂
So, there you have it, all my favorite summer lipsticks/lip colors. Please visit all these beautiful ladies to see what colors they’re loving this summer.
YOUR TURN: What colors are you loving this summer? Are you more of a lipstick fan or do you prefer glosses?
Until next time
