Summer is officially here and as much as I like wearing my hair in twist outs and ‘Fros, I try to strike a balance and do some summer protective style. I first wore this easy natural hair summer style a few weeks ago and it has since become of my favorites.
The temperatures here in Texas can easily get up into the mid 100’s and I’ve literally heard and felt my hair fry in the summer heat. This style is easy, fool proof and perfect for getting your hair off your neck while protecting your ends.
This easy summer ready style can be done on an old twist out/braid out or it can also be a great way to salvage a failed style.
What you’ll need:
- Meta Grip Bobby Pins – these are the only ones I used because they are sturdy and long lasting
- Rat Tail Comb
- Edge Control – I’ve been loving the new CURLS Blueberry Bliss Control Paste
