I know…..I’ve been MIA for a few weeks. 🙂
This past weekend “Natural Hair All Star Weekend” took place in Dallas. Stay tuned to the official website as we upload all the pics 🙂
Prior to the event, we put together a “Glam Squad” of Makeup Artists and a hairstylist to help us look our best for the event. I’m so glad we did because neither of us (Bella Kinks, TeamNatural INC nor I) had the time to dedicate to hair or makeup. Together, they did a phenomenal job in making us look like we were well rested and spent days hours doing our hair 🙂
Kudos to our amazing Makeup Artists JamieDionne and Cassandra Stephens.
Our stylist was Markeita from
Touch of Heaven Salon in Humble, TX. She drove all the way to Dallas for the event and we’re so glad she did.
Markeita is nothing short of amazing. Following our Skate Party on Friday night, I rushed up to her room around 1am to get my hair done. My hair had been semi-stretched the day before and I wore a chunky twist out to the Skate Party.
We decided on an Updo since I wanted something that would last the entire weekend. Markeita flat twisted one side of my and did chunky twists on the other side.
She decided to do Pin Curls on the twists to give them extra definition. The next morning, I loved how the pin curls looked and I left them in to attend the Expo. I got so many questions about my hair. I think I might have answered the same question about 30 times..no exaggeration, but I didn’t mind at all 🙂
One Saturday night, with about 5 minutes to spare before we left for our “Naturals Night Out Dallas” event, I raced up to Markeita room again and she removed the pin curls. I was in LOVE! My hair looked even more amazing.
Markeita also shaped up and styled Constance’s (TeamNatural INC) hair for the weekend. I think the pictures tell the story 🙂
I can’t wait for Markeita to do my hair again. She is so skilled and her personality is just so warm. Thank you Markeita!
