Happy Friday!

Where does the time go? It’s already time for another feature.

Meet India….

1) Please introduce yourself? What would you like the readers to know about you?

My name is India. I am 22 years old. I’m a Virgo! I have been natural for 2 years and I love being natural!

2) What do you love most about being natural? Have you had any challenges?

What I love most about being natural is the versatility. I can wear my hair in braids, twists, a fro or a weave , it all depends on how my mood is!

When I first became natural, I was very insecure about my hair. As I tried more styles, I grew to love being natural. My main challenge has been keeping my hair moisturized for my hair is extremely dry. I deep condition and give myself a hot oil treatment once a week to combat this issue.

3) How do you care for your hair? What’s your go-to style?

It’s summer, so I’ve been wearing my hair in protective styling (Havana twists). Normally, I deep condition and hot oil treatment once a week. I also do the LOC method (water, oil and a sealer) on my hair each night. I mainly wear my hair in a high puff or a twist out.

4) Has wearing your hair in its natural state changed you in any way?

Wearing my hair natural has made me much more confident. At first, I had superficial confidence but after becoming natural I had confidence in myself and all of my flaws.

5) If you could give some advice to your “pre-natural” self, what would it be?

If would be “Girl you should have did this a longgg time alone!”

6) Is there anything else you’d like to share? Any hobbies or special projects?

I like to write, I love reading and I love to model. Also, I hold a BA in Communications and am currently a Marketing Coordinator for a government agency in Baltimore.

7) Where are you on social media? Please share your links with us.

I am @IndiaAlmighty on both Instagram and Twitter and I also run a natural page with my friend, Shay McCoy. We are @TheNaturalQueens on Instagram and Twitter.
