I hope that everyone had a very Merry Christmas!

I thought of doing a Bantu Knot out style for Christmas Day, but a snowy forecast together with a smidgen of “I don’t feel like it” aka laziness, changed all of that.  I went for the next best thing, my never fail “Twisted Pinup, Twistout Bangs”.

I love this style because it’s so versatile, and I can tweak it each time to make it look a little different.  I used a product that I’m currently reviewing to twist my hair on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day, I grabbed twists, pinned up the back, and left out a front “bang” section.

I untwisted the bang section for a more textured look, swooped them to the side, and used Bobby pins to pin them in place.
I used this huge bobby pin looking accessory ($1 at the Dollar Tree) to hold the majority of my twists in the updo. It’s sturdy and works well at securing my hair, a definite win.

Updates:

In the next few weeks I will making some aesthetic changes to the blog layout, as well as reorganizing the content. I have been procrastinating on doing this for a while, but I’m determined to get it done….soon. I will try to continue to post during that time, but if they are inconsistent, know that I have not abandoned ship, I’m only adjusting the sails. 🙂

As the year 2012 comes to an end, I would like to say THANK YOU to everyone for taking the time to read, comment or browse the blog.

My prayer is that you will all have a blessed, wonderful and joyous 2013.

Until next time
