Whew…that’s a real tongue twister!  For this first installment of “First Friday Feature“, I decided to showcase 5 of my favorite things. If you’re not sure what First Friday Feature is click here

First up are the round lip balms from EOS (Evolution of Smooth). If you can’t tell by the scuff marks, I love these things. I keep one in every purse and I even keep one in the car…that’s where my summer fruit balm is……I think. These balms are very smooth going on, very moisturizing to the lips and the sphere design makes them easy to apply. I love them all, but my favorite ones are the lemon drop (yellow) because it has SPF and the sweet mint (pastel green) because of the tingle.  These are 95% organic and 100% natural as well as paraben, gluten and phthalate free! What’s not to love?

I’m keeping my eyes peeled at Walmart, Walgreens, CVS etc for the new Alice in Wonderland collection that’s out! You can never have too many lip balms…especially as fall and winter approaches.

Another year round favorite as these hand creams by Shea Moisture. I stocked up on these at the Target after Christmas sale for a whopping $1 per two pack! They were 90%!
They are super moisturizing, smell great and have great ingredients. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them on my hair if I’m in a bind! Great stuff 🙂

This 100% pure, cold pressed, organic Rosehip Oil/Cream Duo was a random purchase that I’ve fallen in love with. I picked it up on a whim at the hair/beauty section at Marshalls almost 2 months ago for $12.99. I’ve seen it retail on Amazon for as much as $32.50, while the oil alone retails for $17. Another score that works well. I’ve definitely noticed some “regeneration” in my “over 30” skin and the moisture factor is off the chain. I mostly use it at night, but I’ve added the oil to my day time moisturizer and had no issues with oilness. Guess what I’ll be buying on my next time to Marshalls?

I absolutely love this stacked bracelet set I purchased from ChicXpressions on Etsy. I wear it every chance I get. I also have the matching lock and key earrings that I also love. My wrists are pretty tiny and they don’t fall off as regular bracelets tend to do. The shop owner is uber sweet and hand makes a lot of unique, custom pieces.

I couldn’t end without adding some kind of hair related favorite. That honor goes to these Goody Ouchless Flexible HairClips. I love these things. These are the only hair clips I’ve found that can hold all of my mini/micro twists, and a massive amount of loose hair. They are super comfy and stylish too. Check out how I wore them here.

So there you have it! Five of my favorite things to kick off my First Friday Feature. If you’d like to be featured send me an email at thehodgepodgefiles@gmail.com.

What are some of your favorite things?

Until next time
