As I mentioned here, I’ve been loving and experimenting with updos and scarves/head wraps this summer. This look was purely accidental, as I initially intended to wear a jumbo bantu knot out. I was really just trying to keep my hair stretched and figured since the knots were in for two days , they’d be wearable. That didn’t happened.

I ended up just fluffing the knots, pinning the back of my hair up and using this huge, bright scarf to create this look. I was very pleased with the way it turned out and it literally took 5 minutes to do.  To briefly explain what I did:

  • I folded the scarf until it was small enough to fit around my head (it was originally huge)
  • I tied it at the front
  • I took the two sections, did a two strand twist and then made the twist into a knot.
Easy peasy…..and another win for the scarf/headwrap, at least I think so. 🙂
Do you wear scarves/headwraps? Do you have a favorite look?
Until next time
